El Dorado Hills CSD and the future of Oak Knoll Park facilities

The second workshop date for the Oak Knoll Park redesign will be Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at 6 pm in the Oak Knoll Clubhouse. The CSD Planning Department will share the results of the first workshop and how they are reflected in some conceptual design alternatives. Staff will share budget information, cost estimate for possible improvements and ask the community to develop a consensus plan that can be presented to the El Dorado Hills Community Service District Board of Directors for adoption.

The survey results are now available and can be viewed here.

Below is the original survey request.

The CSD needs your help to redesign your park at Oak Knoll. Please take a minute or two to complete the on-line survey following this link: Oak Knoll Survey (now closed)

A hard copy of the survey will also be mailed to all the homes in WoodRidge and The Hills of El Dorado with a pre-paid envelope for ease in returning, should you decide to complete the survey that way. Please complete and return the survey by October 24, 2008.

The results of the survey will be presented at a Design Workshop on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 6:30 in the Oak Knoll Clubhouse. If you have any questions about the survey or the workshop, please feel free to call or email Dianna Hillyer, CSD Planning Director. We hope to see you there and thanks for helping to redesign your park.

Oak Knoll Pool, Feb 2008 The park can be accessed from Alyssum Circle or Mendocino Way in the Hills of El Dorado subdivision, off Magnolia Hills Drive, east of Bass Lake Road in eastern El Dorado Hills.

BLAC had several residents request more information about the proposed redesign of Oak Knoll Park and where the financing will come from. Every year the residents of WoodRidge and The Hills of El Dorado pay for a lighting and landscaping district (L&LD) through their property taxes. A portion of this money is set aside each year by the EDH CSD in a reserve fund which is now fairly substantial and will pay for any planned improvements and the survey/meetings to make those improvements. So it will essentially be our money at work and we need to be involved to ensure the proposed park meets the needs of the residents.

Please feel free to pass the survey on to your neighbors and friends who live in the two villages involved.
